Science Equipment required for Week 8

As part of our Science Unit this term, the children will be building a catapult to encapsulate the learning of forces.

We are aware that this will require children to bring in some resources.  We have tried to ensure that we keep costs to a minimum and all these supplies can be found rather inexpensively at a $2 shop or similar.

Equipment:

• 4 rubber bands
• 8 larger size Popsicle sticks (these are around $3 for a pack of 25)
• 1 plastic spoon large enough to hold a marshmallow

This is the very basic of basic type catapults that we can make here in 4G, and that is completely fine. I have attached a link here to show you what the children have watched and what has been discussed today.
